At the Edge of Amazing: Snohomish County Health Summit, a shared and expanded vision of community health and wellness is created. Partnerships are discovered. Programs are initiated. Relationships are improved and expanded.
Now in its fourth year, Edge of Amazing: Snohomish County Health Summit 2018 brings people together from the private and public sector: businesses, non-profits, healthcare, human services, educational institutions, faith, tribal and government agencies. As we celebrate the strides we’ve made to improve the health and well-being of the residents of Snohomish County, we’ll focus on the work that still needs to be done to strengthen our community resources that go beyond traditional healthcare.
This year’s event, entitled A Stage for Change, seeks to inspire actionable change within attendees’ area of reach. It’s an opportunity for 400 attendees from across Snohomish County to create and enhance action plans that align their goals to community priorities. It features a second day as requested by last year’s attendees to increase opportunities for learning and action planning. Spend Day 1 (half day) defining community priorities around “Mental, Emotional & Spiritual Health”, “Relationships & Social Connections” and “Security & Basic Needs”. These priorities will become the focus for the Day 2 (full day) workshops and action planning, because as Edge of Amazing grows, it continues to be focused on collaboration and guided by the community.
Everyone has the ability to contribute a newly created or an existing action that will support these efforts. Working together, these action plans will bring about changes and improve the health and well-being of the people who live, work and play in our local communities.
