Services Your Gift Provides
Our workshops cover topics such as fundraising, financial management, grant writing and board engagement. They are led by local experts and consultants. In 2016, we hosted 19 workshops that helped more than 300 participants. The organizations that benefit from this program work in every service area: the arts, environment, human services, education and health. Program participants ranked the knowledge and tools we provide through these trainings as more important than grant funding.
The training sessions also provide an opportunity for nonprofits to network and develop partnerships to tackle the community’s most difficult problems. The relationships that we facilitate allow people to make more of a difference together than they could individually.
Examples of these collaborations:
- Sultan School and Family Needs; addressing educational and family needs
- Senior Centers; bringing 16 centers across the county to collaborate on strategic fundraising plans
- Early Learning Coalition working on collaborations to help families thrive.
We provide brief, 15 minute coaching & consulting services to nonprofits in need of individual support. In doing so, we are able to provide specific, strategic solutions and resources to the challenges that small nonprofits face. By strengthening an organization’s infrastructure, we can increase their impact on the community.
Leader Link is a new community service that matches local individuals to nonprofit boards. Our staff speak one-on-one with each applicant to find a perfect placement. Our in-depth knowledge of local nonprofits creates strong matches for both nonprofits and their new board members. Click here for more information and how to get involved!
