Human Services Fund in honor of Bob Drewel- Spring Cycle – 2018 Grant Criteria
The Human Services Endowment Fund in Honor of Bob Drewel was established in 2003 to acknowledge Bob’s legacy of commitment to human service causes in our region. This fund is held by the Community Foundation of Snohomish County for the long-term benefit of human service agencies throughout Snohomish County.
Grant Criteria
Eligible organizations: 501(c) (3) tax exempt nonprofit organizations, public agencies, school districts, libraries, parks with programs and/or services in Snohomish County. Organizations are limited to one application per organization. Grant awards typically range from $2500-$5000. Capital expenses and endowments are not considered for funding. Grant decisions are made by a committee of community volunteers assigned by the Community Foundation Board.
Applications should fit one of the criteria below:
- Basic Needs (Food, Clothing, Shelter, Safety)
- Target populations include:
- Families
- Children
- Seniors
- Individuals with Disabilities
- Target populations include:
- Human Services
- Preference for small / medium sized agencies and community based programs with well-defined needs.
- Dental, wellness or mental health services
- Prevention programs and services for pre-teens/teens
- Programs that serve assist at-risk youth
- Services for veterans
- Preference for small / medium sized agencies and community based programs with well-defined needs.
- Human Services for disabled individuals
- Criteria:
- Health and wellness (this may include mental health)
- Recreation
- Enrichment programs
- Access to services or opportunities to participate in the community.

Deadline: April 30th, 2018
Notification: Agencies will be notified within 60 days of the committee decision.
Follow up: Grant Evaluation and Report to be completed online within one year of grant award.

*Grants will be awarded from a volunteer committee from the following funds: the Human Services Fund in honor of Bob Drewel (which is a board designated Community Impact Fund), and the Sky Valley Human Services Fund (a fund established by a donor that serves Monroe, Sultan, Index, Startup, and Goldbar).
