William C. Butler and Eleanor E. Butler Trust – 2019

Butler Trust has been awarding grants in Snohomish County for decades. Over the years, many local human services agencies have benefited from this generosity. It has been an amazing legacy. After careful deliberation, the trust has decided to sunset. This is the last grant cycle from Butler Trust. The grant process will provide two years of funding to the selected programs with a brief review process. Organizations who received funding in 2018, and are currently in the middle of their two year funding, are not eligible to apply.

Grant Criteria

Eligible organizations: 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations (or fiscally sponsored by one) with programs and/or services in Snohomish County. Nonprofit organizations are limited to one application in 2019. Grant awards typically range from $2000 – $5000 (for each year). Please make your request within this range.  If selected, programs will receive funding in 2019 and again in 2020 after a brief review.  Capital requests and endowments will not be considered. Operating expenses may be included in an overall program request. The strongest applications will include a clear scope of work and strong, detailed budget.

Each application should be for a program or service with at least two years of funding needs and should fit one of the criteria below:
