After a year of gathering feedback, the foundation board selects a name that more accurately reflects the mission of serving the entire county. The Greater Everett Community Foundation began in 2001 with deep roots in Everett, growing from the Friends of Everett Parks. Those efforts provided experience in community building that is fundamental to the work of community foundations. We expect to grow and expand our partners as more families and organizations learn about our work. Our goal is to bring forward our history of success. Today we have a different name, but the same mission, focused on helping Snohomish County thrive.
